10,000 opportunities, one unforgettable moment: The 10,000 Milestone

This Black history month, we’re making history. We are heading to Emirates Stadium to mark a milestone five years in the making – the creation of 10,000 paid internship opportunities for underrepresented talent across the UK.

What began as a sector-specific pilot quickly gained national momentum. More than 1,000 employers joined us. Over 65,000 applications poured in. Today, our work has built the UK’s fastest-growing pipeline of Black talent.

Now, we gather to recognise the scale of what’s been achieved and the community that made it possible – with a landmark event supported by Arsenal Football Club and powered by purpose.

It’s the start of something even bigger.

Designed with our community at its core, the 10K Milestone will fill the stands of one of the country’s most iconic venues with energy, talent and momentum. With 10,000 seats reserved for alumni, employers, partners, members, donors and leaders across industry, from entertainment, to policy to sport, the evening will feature:

Over the past five years, we’ve created more than 10,000 paid internship opportunities across over 35 sectors. But numbers only tell part of the story.

This milestone reflects a deeper mission: to rewrite the narrative around Black talent in the UK. To open doors, build trust, and reshape what equity in the workplace can look like when it’s not treated as charity, but recognised as strategy.

By bringing together 10,000 voices in one space, this event reaffirms that mission. It reminds us, and shows the world, what’s possible when opportunity is made real.

And with the launch of our new national alumni programme and the return of our flagship internship programme, this is just the beginning.
