Fundraising Policy
1. Introduction
The 10,000 Interns Foundation is committed to ethical, transparent, and responsible fundraising. This policy outlines our approach to fundraising, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices. It applies to all staff, trustees, volunteers, and third-party fundraisers acting on behalf of the 10,000 Interns Foundation.

The purpose of this policy is to:

Protect the integrity of the 10,000 Interns Foundation and maintain public trust.
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Charities Act 2011, the
Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Guide ethical fundraising practices and donor care.
3. Legal and Regulatory Framework
The 10,000 Interns Foundation will adhere to the following regulations and guidelines:
Charity Commission for England and Wales guidelines.
Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code).
4. Fundraising Standards
4.1 Ethical Fundraising
The 10,000 Interns Foundation will fundraise in a way that upholds the dignity and rights of our beneficiaries, donors, and the public. No fundraising activity should place pressure on potential donors, and the 10,000 Interns Foundation will not accept donations or engage in partnerships that compromise our mission or reputation.
4.2 Transparency and Accountability
We will provide clear and accurate information about how funds will be used.
All fundraising materials will be truthful, and claims will be substantiated.
Annual reports and financial statements will be publicly available to demonstrate the impact of fundraising activities.
4.3 Donor Care and Stewardship
Donors will be treated with respect, confidentiality, and gratitude. Donors have the right to:
Receive prompt acknowledgment of their donations.
Request anonymity.
Be informed of how their donation is being used.
Withdraw or amend their consent for communication at any time.
4.4 Use of Funds
Funds raised will be used for the purposes outlined to donors, with any changes communicated transparently.
Restricted funds will be used solely for the specified purpose unless agreed otherwise by the donor.
5. Fundraising Methods
5.1 Online and Digital Fundraising
Online fundraising platforms will be secure and compliant with data protection regulations.
Social media and digital campaigns will be conducted responsibly and transparently.
5.2 Events and Activities
All fundraising events will be risk-assessed to ensure the safety of staff and attendees.
Events will comply with relevant health and safety regulations and insurance requirements.
5.3 Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropic Fundraising
Partnerships with businesses and philanthropic donors will be carefully vetted to ensure alignment with our values and mission.
Agreements will be documented in a written contract outlining roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
6. Data Protection
Personal data collected during fundraising activities will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
Data will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will not be shared without consent.
7. Third-Party Fundraisers
Third-party fundraisers acting on behalf of the 10,000 Interns Foundation must adhere to this policy and sign a formal agreement.
The 10,000 Interns Foundation reserves the right to check in on the activities of third-party fundraisers to ensure compliance.
8. Complaints and Feedback
The 10,000 Interns Foundation welcomes feedback and is committed to addressing complaints promptly and fairly.

Unresolved complaints may be referred to the Fundraising Regulator.
9. Monitoring and Review
The CEO will review this policy annually to ensure it remains current and effective.
