You know what we’re not going to talk about anymore… diversity fatigue
If the events of the last week haven’t woken you up to the violence, exclusion and racism that Black and brown people face I don’t know what will..
I read recently that the opposite of ‘belonging’ is ‘fitting in’
That to belong is to experience full acceptance of who you are
And fitting in is about becoming the thing that is most dominant and acceptable
But when we wear our difference on our skin everyday we don’t have that luxury
(And I wouldn’t change that even if I could)
Diversity fatigue is a luxury
And letting that impact your organisation’s priorities is socially irresponsible.
The underrepresentation of Black talent is an issue as urgent today as it has ever been.
71% of Black employees feel overlooked for opportunities because of their heritage…
The work continues and we couldn’t be prouder to be leading the charge with 10,000 Black Interns
